This Privacy Policy explains how LOQI collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the LOQI mobile application and related services.

Information We Collect

We may collect the following information depending on how you use LOQI:

• Account information, such as email address, password credentials, age confirmation, and university verification status.
• Phone number information when you choose or are required to verify by SMS.
• Profile information, such as display name, bio, interests, prompts, avatar, profile images, and profile preferences.
• User content, such as posts, comments, poll responses, community activity, reports, and messages.
• Safety and moderation information, such as reports, blocked users, image review results, and account enforcement records.
• Device and app information, such as app version, device type, push notification tokens, log data, crash data, and basic analytics events.

How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Create, authenticate, verify, and secure accounts.
• Provide core app features including profiles, communities, posts, comments, matches, notifications, and chat.
• Maintain safety, prevent abuse, review reports, moderate content, and enforce app rules.
• Send account, verification, security, support, and notification messages.
• Improve reliability, performance, product quality, and user experience.
• Comply with legal obligations and respond to valid requests.

Service Providers

We use trusted service providers to operate LOQI. These may include hosting, database, authentication, storage, analytics, error monitoring, push notification, communication, image moderation, and website hosting providers. These providers process information on our behalf so we can provide and protect the service.

Providers may include Supabase, PostHog, Sentry, Expo, Apple Push Notification service, Twilio, Sightengine, and Cloudflare, depending on the feature used.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers, when required for safety or legal reasons, as part of a business transfer, or with your direction or consent. Content you post or share in LOQI may be visible to other users according to the app's product rules and privacy settings.

Data Retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide LOQI, maintain security, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and enforce our rules. Some safety, moderation, or legal records may be retained after account deletion when necessary to protect users and the service.

Account and Data Deletion

You can request account deletion in the LOQI app from Settings. You can also contact us at support@loqiapp.app. When your account is deleted, we delete or de-identify account data unless we need to retain limited information for safety, security, legal, or operational reasons.

Children

LOQI is intended for users who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

International Processing

Information may be processed in countries other than where you live. We take steps designed to protect information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Your Choices

You can update profile information in the app, manage notification permissions through your device settings, block users, report content, and request account deletion. For privacy requests, contact support@loqiapp.app.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and provide notice when appropriate.
